Documentary DVD Packaging

DVD packaging, poster design and other marketing materials were designed for this documentary on Forest J. Ackerman, the American publisher who coined the term ‘sci-fi’, popularized horror and science fiction around the world.

The typography mimics the cover design of his magazine “Famous Monsters of Filmland” (samples shown below), a 1960′s magazine that fired the imaginations of children and adults alike, as well as inspiring some of todays greatest SFX makeup artists.
